Non-contacting radar level meter used for evaporation tank level monitoring

Aug 11 , 2023

Using non-contacting radar level meter to monitor the evaporation capacity of evaporation tank is the main method of modern salt production. Even though most sensor manufacturers are touting the advantages of the new sensor, I think the non-contact radar level meter is still the best way to monitor the evaporation tank level.

As is known to all, the most important feature of non-contacting radar level meter is non-contact measurement. The biggest advantage of this method is that it does not require contact with the medium and can be obtained by radar pulses. This method is widely used in corrosive and salty environments. The modern salt making method is the process of brine evaporation, water concentration and salt making by crystallization in the evaporator under different vacuum pressure. In the process of salt production, its core process is evaporation, because it is necessary to monitor the change of liquid level in the evaporation tank in the production process to calculate the evaporation amount and achieve the purpose of controlling the concentration of solution. In the process of production, high intensity corrosion environment, crystal blocking vent, vacuum and high temperature environment, and so on, this series of problems have strict requirements on sensor technology. From the point of view of salt production, using a non-contacting radar level meter is far from enough, vacuum pressure measurement and custom high temperature sensor need to be done in the same step.

Different facts prove that the best way to monitor level of evaporation tank is to use non-contacting radar level meter.
