What is the Level Monitoring and Control System

Nov 05 , 2025

Mr. Hanson, from U.S.A, recently had a run dry situation while on vacation. He lost all fish, most inverts, clams, and anemone. Here is his big question: he need the ability to be alerted when/if the water level is going to run dry. He wants something (sensor, etc) that is submerged to a level just above return pump intake and if it “goes dry”, it will shut the pump. He is not concerned about the temperature as his house stays around 78F and the lights keep the tank at 80-81F, but he doesn’t want it running if it is above the water line.

He gets that the Holykell level sensor can determine if the water drops below the preset limit. He has been pointed here because people have said they have used the sensors before.

He wanna know that before he starts spending money on things, if this is even possible: he has an app, the devices are connected, he knows how much water is left.

Mr. Hanson was then recommended the Holykell level monitoring and auto control system for its perfect match with his demands and requirements.

What is the Level Monitoring and Control System?

The level monitoring and control system uses a level sensor, typically a submersible level sensor (for its most cost-effective sense), an ultrasonic/radar sensor (for non-contact measurement) optional, and a wireless gateway. It also includes a magnetic valve for automatic filling or draining control, and an alarm light or buzzer for sound and light alerts. Together, these components enable real-time level monitoring, automatic pump or valve control, and remote data viewing through a PC or APP, ensuring safe, efficient, and intelligent liquid level management.

That means with this smart level monitoring system, users can easily detect abnormal water levels and take preventive action before the water tank runs dry. The system supports real-time data recording, automatic threshold alarms, and remote notifications, helping homeowners, aquarium hobbyists, and industrial operators monitor tanks or reservoirs anywhere, anytime.

By integrating advanced sensing technology with modern IoT connectivity, Holykell provides a simple yet powerful way to protect your equipment, conserve resources, and achieve full automation of your liquid management system.
