Solution:

For transmission distance within 100 meters, use 2×0.5mm2 shielded wire.

For transmission distance within 250 meters, use 2×1.0mm2 shielded wire.

For transmission distance within 400 meters, use 2×1.5mm2 shielded wire.

For transmission distance within 600 meters, use 2×2.5mm2 shielded wire.

What should we do if the four-wire system ultrasonic open channel flow meter 4-20mA transmits more than 600 meters?

We can add a 4-20mA repeater between the instrument and the PLC.

And here is the requirements for repeaters: 1. 24V DC power supply, 100mA current. 2. One channel 4-20mA in, one channel 4-20mA out.
